I create, as a figurative realist artist, personal reflections and narratives that focus on expressing a strong emotional sensibility. I explore themes that range from states of fragility, personal resolve, identity and dignity. While much of what I do is grounded in realism, I often incorporate contemporary approaches and techniques such as using strong vibrant colors, toying with various textures, and applying paint with unconventional means. It is essential for me to portray imagery representing the human figure with a sense of diversity and uplifting respect.
