Sullivan Giles (b. 1986) is an artist from the Pacific Northwest living and working in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle, WA. Sullivan attended the Kang-O'Higgins Atelier at Gage Academy of Art in Seattle, then went on to receive her Master of Fine Arts degree at the New York Academy of Art in 2019. She has shown work at La Luz de Jesus in Los Angeles, Sugarlift Gallery, The FLAG Art Foundation, Lyons Wier Gallery, and Franklin Bowles Gallery in New York, as well as Gallery Mack, Fountainhead Gallery, and Figure|Ground Gallery in Seattle. Her work has been published in New American Paintings, Miroir Magazine, and Fine Art Connoisseur, as well as Shoutout LA.

 

Sullivan's work focuses on figurative oil painting and drawing, with an emphasis on portraiture, bodily autonomy, intimacy, and subversive subculture. Her involvement with punk, street art, and tattoo culture heavily influences her work and artistic style.
