My name is  Salome Rigvava  I am from Georgia currently work and live in New York

(b. 1988, Gagra, Abkhazia, Georgia)

I  graduated   MFA  at the New York Academy of Art. Also I had  completed  studies on a full scholarship at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design with Professor Holger Bunk in 2014. Prior to that, I  studied painting at the Tbilisi State Academy of Art. Earning a Bachelor’s degree (2006-2010) and a Master’s degree (2010-12).

I has participated in many personal and group exhibitions all around the world and was an Artist in Residence at Art Mora Studio Program in Ridgefield, New Jersey during the summer of 2016. I had a women's scholarship at New York Art Academy of Art 2020-2022 also AXA Art Prize  finalist in New York 2022.

I  often focuses on one heavy cultural symbol and explores my subject in terms that are deeply personal. The figures are often females in different degrees of awareness of their being painted. The tones are soft and pretty but can take on a hyper-saturated.
