Troncoso was born in La Romana, Dominican Republic (1996) and resides in New York. He obtained his BFA in Illustration at Parsons School of Design as a transfer student from Altos de Chavón La Escuela de Diseño, Dominican Republic. His transition from childhood to adulthood constantly influences his work. For Troncoso, painting has been the answer to facing social norms and challenging them through surreal perspectives. His own adulthood experiences build the narrative of his work, constantly interacting with the hidden side that we all have through irony and nostalgia. His notable participations include the 29th Biennial in the Dominican Republic, NADA Art Fair, Art Central Hong Kong, ComplexCon, AXA Art Prize. In addition, merit scholarships, and international exhibitions in Los Angeles, New York, Hong Kong, Beijing, etc.
