As a Mexican-American painter, my work explores the complexities of identity and class. I exist in the in-between—disconnected from my Mexican heritage, yet never fully American. Through evolving subjects and portraiture, I examine what it means to belong, to navigate cultural absence, and to redefine identity on my own terms. My paintings are both a reflection and a search, a way to give form to the questions that shape me.
