Prior to coming to the New York Academy of Art in 2022, I was a graphic designer, a Human Nutrition college teacher, and an entomologist. Fascinated by the ways wildlife adjusts to the world we are building for ourselves, my installations and paintings depict these wildlife (pigeons, rats, etc.) in observed situations that exemplify their utilization of our societal debris (visit my website to see these). These images are of recent landscape paintings I made en plein air or from photos, using watercolors on Yupo paper and subtractive techniques.
